Project with innovative change to the curriculum
A degree programme initiative involves an innovative change to the curriculum of the respective department. It affects all students of the respective degree programme. The realignment of a curriculum by means of a degree programme initiative changes its teaching sustainably.
Important information applying to degree programme initiatives:

- Decision after ca 1 to 3 months

Workflow
Project description
Please submit a project description* with your objectives.
*Content and length of the project description:
- Max. 1-2 A4 pages
- Define context, objectives and target group
- Describe the added value of the project
- Describe the further potential use of the project
Consultation required
- The Vice-Rector for Curriculum Development will advise you personally, by appointment.
- An appointment must be made to present the degree programme initiative to the Executive Board Teaching Commission.

Completing and submitting the proposal form
NOTE: ETH members who have at least a 50% post and a teaching assignment with the support of Directors of Study are eligible to apply.
- Complete the Downloadproject proposal form (RTF, 3.1 MB)vertical_align_bottom for degree programme initiatives.
- Send the project description as an attachment.
- Submit the proposal to the the online submission system.
Submission deadlines: 1 March, 1 May, 1 October, 1 December
Evaluation of the proposal
1. Selection
- The evaluation criteria are examined by the Vice Rector for Curriculum Development.
2. Review
- The Vice Rector decides whether a external referee is required.
- The Vice Rector then prepares a report which comprises all existing referee assessments.
3. Executive Board Teaching Commission
- The applicant presents the project at a meeting of the Executive Board Teaching Commission.
- Evaluation of the presentation and the report of the Vice Rector
- The Executive Board Teaching Commission discusses the recommendation.
- The Executive Board Teaching Commission prepares a recommendation for the Rector.
4. The Rector makes the decision.
5. The applicant is informed of the decision in writing.
6. If the project is approved, the Rector's staff sends an agreement for signature.
Project implementation and completion
Project support
- The initiative is supervised by Rectorate staff.
Requirements
- Interim discussion: Approximately in the middle of the project LET will contact you for an interim discussion.
- Final report: At the project end a form for the final report must be filled in the submission system.
- You can apply for the paresentation of the initiative at the Innovation in Learning and Teaching Fair, participation is optional.
